Upload error messages, decoded - what each one means and the fix
Q"Period mismatch: you selected July but the file contains no July rows"

The file you uploaded has no data for the month you're filing - its rows belong to another month (the message names which). This is the classic wrong-file mix-up: a June report uploaded for July. Download the report for the correct month from the marketplace and upload that one.
Q"Year mismatch: you selected July 2026, but this file's data is for 2025"

Same as above, but the year is off - usually an old report still sitting in your Downloads folder. Download a fresh report for the right period and re-upload.
Q"This file is for a different business. It contains data for GSTIN X, but you're filing for GSTIN Y"

The report belongs to another GSTIN - common when you run multiple businesses or downloaded from the wrong marketplace account. Log in to the marketplace account that matches the GSTIN you're filing for, download its report, and upload that.
Q"This is the Flipkart Sales Report, but it was uploaded in the GST Report slot"

Flipkart has two different reports and each has its own upload slot. Upload the file under the slot the message names - for Flipkart we recommend the Sales Report slot (why).
Q"Unsupported file type" / "That filename isn't allowed"

Only plain .csv, .xlsx and .xls files are accepted (plus .zip for Meesho tax invoices), and the filename must not carry extra extensions (like report.php.xlsx). Export the report again from the marketplace and upload it unrenamed.
Q"Empty file - no data to import"

Your Other Platforms sheet still contains only the template's SAMPLE row - your own rows were never added, or were added to a different copy. Open the file, add your sales rows under the header, save, and re-upload.
Q"Incorrect file - please verify and upload the correct file" (Govt Excel)

The Govt Excel slot only accepts the official GSTR-1 template - the workbook must contain the standard section sheets (b2b, b2cs, hsn…). An accountant's custom Excel won't pass; export from your accounting software using the government template, or use the Other Platforms sheets instead.
Q"Couldn't find a Tax Invoice Details .xlsx inside the uploaded ZIP" (Meesho)

The ZIP you uploaded doesn't contain Meesho's Tax Invoice file. Extract the ZIP yourself and upload the tax-invoice .xlsx directly - or re-download the export from Meesho's Payments section.
Q"Your file is very large (over 100 MB)"

The upload cap is 100 MB - genuine marketplace reports are far smaller, so a file this size is usually the wrong export. If yours is genuinely that big, message support on WhatsApp (+91 83687 55035) and we'll file it with you.
Q"No data files uploaded for this period" (when generating)

You reached Review/generate for a month that has no uploads yet - often after switching the filing month in the period picker. Check the top-left period selector, then upload that month's files at Step 1.
